“Break clear away once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.” John Muir

Kopi moved to The Farm Community in 1976, and spent his early years exploring and enjoying growing on that land.

After landing in southern California in 1981, his love for nature and the outdoors continued to be cultivated by his parents, as well as a seed that was planted in his early years on The Farm. Things change, and so do families; hence, we became blended in 1989. However, Kopi’s love for nature was a constant.

Sadly, Kopi passed away August 1, 2013 in a tragic car accident on the mountain in Washington that he had fallen in love with. He was surrounded by a community of people whom he loved and loved him; it was where he called home.

In 1997, we had the opportunity to attend The Farm Reunion Celebration together. It was a very special experience; one that he would comment on through the years that followed.

Oh, how he loved that land! He was always a Farmie at heart.
