Swan Trust has an active program of connecting children and adults to the natural world through hikes and outings, special events with schools, and our expert speaker program.
One way of accomplishing our mission is through our expert-led hikes to scenic natural areas in the region and Swan Trust’s Preserves. Our calendar is full of opportunities for families to connect with nature and learn about the plant communities, birds, and aquatic life of Western Highland Rim ecosystems.
Students in public, private, and home schools are invited to bring learning to life in the outdoors. Big Swan Headwaters Preserve is a living laboratory of nature, open for education and research on terrestrial and aquatic plants and animals. Contact us to arrange a field trip.
