The purchase joined together nearly 4000 acres of contiguous forest. Migrating birds and other plant and animal species threatened by rapid development and the conversion of hardwood forests to pine will always have a home here.
While exploring the property, a beautiful 7-foot waterfall was discovered along the edge of the northern boundary (see front cover).
Fountain Investments, previous owners of the Baggs property, graciously donated a 1-acre parcel of forest from an adjoining property to help provide an additional buffer of protection around the falls.
